Briati Burrata is not just another mozzarella. This delicious hand stretched cheese is filled with Italian cream and mozzarella curd. It's loved for being indulgent, creamy, and luscious - best served at room temperature. Try this cheese on top of pasta, alongside fresh slices tomato and olive oil, with avocado toast, over pizza - it's even great with just salt and pepper. Briati Burrata is a fresh cheese made from a mix of mozzarella and cream. The outside thin shell is a hand stretched mozzarella while the insides contains a soft, doughy, stringy, mixture of curd and fresh cream. The cheese originated in the Apulia region of Italy known for sheep farming and agriculture. When you cut open a Burrata, it oozes with a creamy panna containing scraps of mozzarella. The cream has a rich flavor and has to be eaten immediately since it is a fresh cheese. Burrata is usually served fresh at room temperature. Fresh and frozen items ship via expedited air service (1–2 Day Air) and are packed in ClimaCell insulated containers with plant-based ice packs.
Larger bulk orders may ship in insulated Styrofoam containers for added protection.
